Winner of the Architectural Award 2011

The KAPO-project of the month: This wonderful reference object in the south of Burgenland, more precisely in Ollersdorf, is an example for a completed work of the wgdrei-architects: The stable of the hundred years old farm become redesigned into a modern living area. The architects Reschreiter und Gumhalter put a big emphasize on the aspect, that the new arranged accommodation wing fall into line with the already existing farmyard as well as with the landscape.

KAPO furnished this object with windows and doors in Larch nature-oiled. The window areas and big lift and slide door - in away you feel immediately connected to the wonderful inner courtyard of the building.

 

The private residence in Ollersdorf got recently honored with the Architectural Award 2011 of the building association being the “best house in Burgenland”.  “Gingerly embedded in the setting, old and new cluster like they were as a matter of course coalesce”, Juror Erich Kugler.
